Slots 0, 1, and 2 (Bottom PCIe Slots in rear) have a physical connector on the riser board big enough that a x16 card can plug in, but we only have 8 of those lanes wired up.
Slots 3, 4, and 5 (Top PCIe Slots in rear) have a physical connector on the riser board big enough that a x8 card (but not a x16 card) can plug in and again have 8 lanes wired up.
NOTE: Even though PCIe slots 0,1, and 2 are big enough to plug in a x16 card they are only wired for 8 lanes and the latency & bandwidth won’t be any different then PCIe slots 3,4, and 5
(which are also wired for 8 lanes) but only take x8 cards.
